There's no stopping a determined Bella

For the past couple of weeks Bella has been stuffing her hands in her mouth as far as she can get them. I have tried time and time again to intervene with the binky so that she wouldn't develop a thumb sucking habit. These attempts were all failed as soon as she spit the binky out and shoved those little fingers right back in there. There has been multiple times that she has stuffed them in there so far she has choked herself, so I have to keep a close watch on those tiny things.

She is so cute.

Outtakes

Yesterday we did a little monkey photo shoot so that I can send everyone a picture of Bella in her Halloween costume. Here are some of the pictures that I didn’t choose to send everyone. You will all be receiving your Bella monkey picture within the next couple of weeks. She was just too cute. I can’t wait to take her out on Halloween in her costume! CJ wanted me to use the one with her lips poking out but I liked a different one. Enjoy!

Just have to

I just have to post these because she looked so darn cute today in her baby gap button up shirt.

Baby Bella has to take her medicine

Here is what happens when Bella takes her medicine for her mouth infection (just a little infection on the tongue that a lot of babies get, nothing to worry about).

This is Bella...

And this is Bella going "bananas" post medicine...

I tasted the medication to see what the fuss was about and I do not blame her, it tastes like horrible cough syrup.

Mommy's new ink

I have always been addicted to tattoos so it was an obvious decision to get one for my daughter. I thought long and hard about what I wanted and I changed my mind millions of times, but I finally figured out what I wanted. Ever since Bella came home from the hospital I have played the John Mayer song "daughters" for her. Whenever she is fussy I turn it on and dance with her. I ordered the sheet music for the song and decided to get the music for the line, "mothers be good to your daughters too" tattooed on my forearm along with her name. It really looks perfect!

Just monkey'n around

Bella loves to play! She wants so badly to be able to reach out and grab her toys. Soon enough little monkey. I love how she does a little side smirk when she smiles, she has so much personality.

Poor princess...

Today Bella got her first set of shots at her 2 month check up. She was so smiley with the doctor right before they pricked her...I felt so incredibly bad. Ever since we got home she has been knocked out because of all the screaming she did at the doctor's office. We gave her some baby tylenol and we hope the rest of the night will go smooth. We plan on spoiling her tonight by holding her a lot just so she is comforted through the pain. On another note, our little monkey is not so little after all. She is in the 95th percentile for length and around the 60th percentile for weight. She takes after daddy!! She is going to be our tall basketball star! She weighs 11lbs 6ozs and is 23 in long. She is getting so big!

Doing what we do best!

I always knew CJ and I would make fabulous parents because of how much we enjoy kid's activities. I really think to raise a kid you must be a kid all over again. I think we've got it covered!

What's more fun than FINGERPAINTING?

Daddy comes home today!!

Bella and I are so excited for CJ's return home today. Bella gets so happy when she hears CJ's voice on the phone. Although it has been a long week, mommy and baby sure had a lot of fun playing.

We miss daddy!

CJ went to the San Juan Islands this week for work and he doesn't get back until Friday. This is the longest Bella has gone without seeing daddy. I can tell she misses him because she starts to get pretty fussy around the time he would get home from work. Every night CJ normally gives Bella a bath so she was pretty mad that mommy had to do it last night. She has her happy moments though and she seemed so content when she got to hear daddy today on speaker phone. On another note, not having CJ's help at night has been kind of nice in a way because I have been giving Bella more time in her bouncy chair instead of being held all of the time. She sits in her chair while I make dinner and do chores and she seems to be getting more and more used to sitting by herself. We are really looking forward to CJ's return!

Our little cheerleader loves football sunday with dad

We have noticed that when football is on the TV our little Bella LOVES watching it. She is going to grow up watching the games with dad every season! CJ and Bella were both sporting Seahawks gear while watching the Seahawks/buffalo bills game today. CJ was worried when we found out she was a girl that he wouldn't have a little sports fan but OH HE WAS WRONG! =]

Do I eat this mom?

Bella getting ready for tummy time

too cute

Yesterday we took Bella to the doctor because, as most of you know, she wasn't feeling well. If you have met Bella, you know she is quite an energetic little bundle, so it was very sad to see her feeling bad. She would just lay there hurting =[ The doctor said she is going to be fine and that it will pass soon, thank god! As a new parent, there is nothing scarier than your child's first sickness. I was crying up a storm worrying about her. On a happy note, he said she is quite a big bundle of joy. She weighs 10 lbs 9 ozs. He was saying that's a pretty big weight gain haha, which is good. She still looks so tiny in mommy and daddy's eyes.

Bella's first trip to the beach

Yesterday was a great day. We (CJ, our good friend Justin, and I) gathered up the children (Jadyn, Bella, and god-daughter Samara) and headed to the beach. Bella absolutely loved being outside all day. Samara and Jadyn loved swimming and building sand castles and Bella just watched in awe thinking about how one day soon she can partake in the fun. After our long day at the beach we took Justin and Samara home for her naptime and then ventured to dairy queen for ice cream and back to the Cooper's so that Jadyn and CJ could hot tub. It was a nice day ended with a nice walk around the neighborhood looking at the stars. We taught Jadyn to find the big dipper and we told him about the North Star. Today we are off to Aunty Kelly's house; it will be a lot of fun. =] What a busy Labor Day weekend!
