Potty Training Begins
We started the adventure of potty training yesterday! Bella started off with a bang by going pee the first time she sat on the potty. Then later in the day she went poo on the potty. She still needs a lot of work, but she is doing well for the very beginning. She only went pee on the potty once today, but I am so proud of her. I can't believe how fast she is growing up into a big girl!

Babies Everywhere!
I am still waiting on some of the pictures from Christmas, but for now, here are a couple of pictures of Bella and her 156456453156 new babies. She takes such good care of each of her babies. She feeds them and hugs them and takes them for walks. She will be a great big sister one day. Also, Bella went pee pee on her new potty this morning. I think that means that potty training has now begun. She wasn't happy about sitting on the potty at first, but she calmed down when we starting cheering for her and offered her an M&M. Go Bella!

Bella's First Manicure
Bella and I had mommy/daughter nail night tonight. She was so great about getting her nails done. She held her hand still on mommy's leg while I painted her nails, then she blew on them while they were drying. It was the cutest thing ever. I think this will become a routine! She keeps looking at her nails and saying, "oooooh!" Gosh my monkey really does love all things girly!

Roscoe The Gerbil
CJ's wonderful Aunt Georgia sent us some Christmas money to buy Bella a nice Christmas present. We thought long and hard about what Bella still wants for Christmas that we haven't got for her yet. All of you know that Bella LOVES animals but we just aren't ready for a puppy and mommy is allergic to kitties. So, last night, we decided to go to Petco and find a nice, low maintenance pet for Bella. After talking to the nice lady who works at Petco, we discovered that gerbils are nicer than hamsters, and the bigger the gerbil is, the more likely he is to let you hold him and play with him. So we showed Bella the different gerbils and she pointed to the big, fat, black gerbil, which we have named Roscoe. Roscoe seems very happy in his new home, and Bella is very happy that she now has a pet. Thanks Georgia!

A Best Friend Christmas
Sorry we haven't been posting much, the 3 of us have been sick. When Bella gets sick, she gets cranky, which means no fun pictures for the blog. Last night Bella and my god daughter Samara exchanged their presents. Unfortunately, Bella was more interested in Samara's new nightgown than her own presents hehe.

Tree Time!!!
We got our tree tonight! Bella helped sort the lights and put up the ornaments. She is learning quickly that the tree is not a toy, yet she still likes to test us. Here are a couple of photos of Bella helping and our final product. Please ignore the huge amount of ash near the fireplace, mommy was burning our "shred" folder and she still needs to sweep up her mess.

Turkey & Tubing
Our Thanksgiving was amazing. Our meal actually turned out, which was surprising for having never cooked a turkey before. Today, to end our fabulous holiday weekend, we took Bella to the mountains to play in the snow, then we finished off the afternoon and evening with a Thanksgiving dinner with my family. For all of you who may be wondering how Bella liked tubing...let's just say she likes going up-hill a whole lot more than going down-hill.

Jolly Good Times
As the holiday season approaches, we seem to really be in good spirits. Christmas is going to be so much fun this year! We have already started decorating our little home and Bella LOVES all of the pretty things that come with Christmas. Today was a fabulous day! We started off the morning with a nice fire and some Christmas tunes while Bella did her usual Saturday morning monkeying around. Later, we went to Ballard to show Bella what Santa's reindeer (Dasher and Blitzen) look like in person at Swansons nursery (thanks aunt Kelly for letting us know about that =]). We had some Dicks burgers and Bella enjoyed some Dicks french fries! All in all it was a wonderful day and we are getting so pumped for the holiday season, something about having a toddler at Christmas is just SO much fun!

Disney On Ice
Bella and Mommy went to Disney on Ice tonight! It was so much fun! At first I was very nervous about the impending melt downs, however Bella was on her best behavior and she really enjoyed herself. We got her a bucket of popcorn and she was set. She danced, clapped, and pointed the entire time. Bella's favorite performance was Lion King, she danced and clapped the most during Lion King. She got a little antsy towards the end, but no crying (which was amazing for a 2 hour show with no room to move around at all). I am so glad we were able to go!

The Best of Times
These are the best days of my life! I get to play with my wonderful kid all day. I cherish these moments so much, because I know that eventually I will have a job and be unable to spend every moment with my monkey. Even a simple day at the park is the most fun when sharing it with such a fun and awesome kid!
