Bella's First Lovie

Over the past week Bella has grown very fond of her stuffed tiger. The tiger seems to be holding 1st place for favorite in Bella's toy abundant world. She gets even more excited if mama and dada make meow noises while she holds the "kitty." When Bella is grumpy, this little tiger is a great way to try and bring a smile to her sweet little face...and lately smiles are hard to come by (teething bad =[ ).

Puddle Hopping and Bubble Popping

Yesterday we took Bella out in the rain with her rainboots on and let her splash around in the mud puddles. Then, after we got her cleaned up, we had a bubble party. I'd say it was a pretty good day for Bella.

Come to Mama

I know it is a lot to expect for a 7 month old to learn to walk but we are practicing all of the time now. I don't think it's too many months away. If I stand her up next to something (i.e. the couch, as pictured) she will put one foot forward then fall towards me. She just needs to figure out what to do with the other foot hehe.

Typical Monday

I always do a lot of cleaning on Monday since the weekend is filled with family activities. Here is a pic of Bella helping me out today.

Bedtime Routine Gets A Couple New Perks

This weekend we bought Bella a new rubber ducky for her bath time fun. This particular ducky is a little more "our" style (it has tattoos and piercings) and the past 2 nights Bella hasn't put it down during bath time. We also bought her first baby toothbrush and have incorporated brushing her teeth into her nightly routine.

There's No Place Like Ballard

We spent our day enjoying all the great things Ballard has to offer. If we could live anywhere it would be in Ballard. We made our first stop at Dicks for a delicious lunch, then we showed Bella the Ballard locks (although there were no fish in the fish ladder), took her to archie mcphees (a childhood favorite of mine), and finally brought her to Golden Gardens for her second trip to the beach. The very last picture of the bunch is right where CJ proposed to me =].

Light Graffiti

We adopted a new camera from Grandma and Grandpa Cooper and we discovered a pretty cool trick. After messing around with some of the settings we figured out how to make light graffiti. These are shots from the first few times we tried this out. We will keep posting as we get more skilled in this new art form.

Hangin' With Laurie

My friend Laurie is over tonight. We are going to have her help us a little later with light graffiti, a new hobby ours. We took her to the botanical conservatory and had a nice walk in the park. We will post our light graffiti art sometime this weekend. We are having a lot of fun learning how to do it. If you are into photography, you should check it out.

It's a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood

It was nice and sunny today so we spent a few hours out enjoying the neighborhood. We ventured to the park and let Bella explore the playground, we enjoyed the wildlife at the pond, we brought Bella by the church where mommy and daddy got married, we showed Bella the little waterfall down the street, and we got some burgers at the local burger joint. It was a good evening.

The Best Babysitter

Bella started snacking more lately. She loves Gerber cheese cruchies (baby cheetos) and graduates puffs (banana and sweet potato). These yummy snacks keep her occupied for long periods of time and allow mommy to get things done around the house. She just loves feeding herself like a big girl.

Midnight Walk on Glass Bridge

Bella showed no signs of sleeping late last night, and CJ and I have always wanted to go to glass bridge at night, so we decided to take a walk on glass bridge. It was cold but beautiful! Our camera sucks at taking night shots so here is the best we could get...
